A little bit about me…
My name is Lian and I live in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges with my husband. I’m a mum to 2 adult children and 2 fur baby dogs.
When I’m not working I love gardening, going to the gym and camping. I also enjoy listening to podcasts and reading anything associated with parenting, child development , mental health and well-being.
As a professional, I have been working as a nurse for over 40 years, with the majority of my time as a Maternal and Child Health Nurse. I specialise in parenting support with a focus on sleep, feeding and child behaviour utilizing the Solihull approach to parenting.
I am a qualified professional trainer in The Solihull Approach and as such provide training to Maternal and Child Health nurses and early childhood staff in a variety of settings.
Nurtured Parenting evolved from my passion for supporting parents to understand their children intimately allowing them to best support their development and nurture their potential whilst growing in confidence in their parenting and delighting in their children.
The Solihull Approach Framework underpins all aspects of Nurtured Parenting. It fosters the relationship between the professional and the parent/carer, focusing on the understanding that the parent is seen as pivotal in understanding their children and acknowledging that there is no "one size fits all" approach to parenting.
So if you’re interested in embarking on your own unique parenting journey reach out to Nurtured Parenting and let’s have a conversation.
